Actors
Actors
Run code inside Actor Lua states and pass data between them.
Actors run Luau in their own Lua states, separate from the main VM and from each other. The Actors library finds those states, runs code inside them, and moves messages between them. This matters when a game puts its real logic inside an Actor, since code there is out of reach from the main VM until you schedule into it.
Scheduling onto an actor is refused from a parallel phase; call these from a serial context. Values you pass into an actor are deep-copied across the VM boundary, and instances are re-resolved on the other side.
