getnamecallmethod

getnamecallmethod() -> string?

Returns the name of the method being called in the current __namecall, or nil when there is no namecall in progress. This is how a __namecall hook learns whether it is looking at FireServer, InvokeServer, and so on.

Returns

string or nil

The namecall method name, or nil.

Example

hookmetamethod(game, "__namecall", function(self, ...)
    if getnamecallmethod() == "FireServer" then
        -- handle the remote
    end
    return oldNamecall(self, ...)
end)

setnamecallmethod: rewrite the method name.
hookmetamethod: install the __namecall hook.
